Beautiful (and Easy!) Christmas Scene using Giftbags and Frames

·

Y’all, this Beautiful (and Easy!) Christmas scene using giftbags and frames, is the easiest craft you will ever do. Seriously. Using only a giftbag (or two!), frames and glue. This is even easier than the Super quick and easy Christmas shelf sign I made a few weeks ago. You can check that post out here. It will take you longer to read this post and the instructions than it will to make this!

Aren’t those just beautiful?

I mean I think a lot of the stuff I make is cute or adorable. But these two giftbags made to look like a scene outside a window are just so beautiful to me. And believe me, with all the mess ups I have when I craft, most of my stuff certainly doesn’t turn out beautiful. Until today.

I know everyone has seen these all over Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and every where! And I love how everyone customizes them and gives them their own little spin. I’ve seen where they add bows and all kinds of other embellishments to them. I chose to keep mine simple because I just fell in love with the giftbags when I saw them and I didn’t want to take away from them at all.

I chose these 4X4 photo frames I found at the Dollar Tree. They are actually floating frames and contain two pieces of glass that holds the photo inside. They also have a black ribbon on top to hang them on the wall.

I found these two giftbags, also at the Dollar Tree, so I was happy the frames were already black so I didn’t have to paint them.

Now, how to make these easy giftbags and frames wall decor!

First, remove the shrink wrap from the outside of the frame and take the paper out from between the glass. I also removed the hanging ribbon. Now this is purely your preference. You can put the glass back in the frames or leave the glass out. I have seen many of these crafts both ways and you really can’t tell a difference. I was going to use command hooks to hang mine, so I left the glass completely out of mine.

Next, glue your four frames together.

I used hot glue and held them together for a just a few seconds. Make sure you don’t use a lot or it will seep through the front cracks.

Now, just lay your frames over the giftbag to see where you need to cut. I knew I wanted Santa, and the Reindeer in mine. But I also wanted that cute little rustic house in it too.

And for this one, I wanted Santa and the Reindeer and as much of that cute little cottage that I could get.

Now, you cut out what you need.

Then attach it to the back of the frame.

And that’s it. All done.

I used regular scotch tape to attach mine. But you could use whatever adhesive you prefer. I just taped it all around the edge of the giftbag to the frame like this:

And because these are so beautiful (and because I always end my posts like this), the finished products, again.
